How does EcoVadis review the documents I attached to the Vitals questionnaire?

We will review the attached documents once you submit your EcoVadis Vitals questionnaire. 

For a document to be considered evidence of your answer, it has to meet two basic conditions:

• Correspond to the document type asked. For example, if the question asks about ISO 14001 or EMAS environmental certificates, do not attach other certificates, such as ISO 50001, as they will not be considered.
• Contain company name. This is to make sure the document belongs to the company you represent. The company name should be in the body text, as the name in pictures or logos may not be recognized.

Additionally, we will check:

• Validity. Certificates are valid until their expiration date, while policies are valid for 8 years after they have been published. 
• File format and size. The best formats are: PDF, PNG, JPG, and JPEG. Files must be less than 30 MB.
