The IMPackT initiative was founded by EcoVadis in late 2023 in collaboration with the Association of Beverage Machinery Industry (ABMI). The initiative regroups companies from the packaging machinery and packaging technology industry spearheaded by their founding members; CFT, Krones and Gassner, driven by a shared commitment to sustainability throughout the supply chain. The initiative is open to new members who share this mission. Eligible companies include packaging machinery manufacturers, complete production lines manufacturers, manufacturers of machines for processing and packaging and other key Tier 1 suppliers to the OEMs. Membership is evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Explore our dedicated webpage to meet the entire team.
The vision of the initiative is to contribute to sustainable packaging, technology and processing solutions by championing circular materials, renewable sources and waste reduction. Our products are designed to go beyond their primary purpose and aim to improve the footprint on our planet and society.
Through collaborative efforts and the sharing of best practices, the IMPackT initiative is fostering a culture of sustainability that extends beyond individual companies to encompass their upstream trading partners. By pooling resources and expertise, members are working together to address sustainability challenges at every stage of the supply chain. This collaborative approach not only enhances the socio-environmental impact of packaging and processing solutions but also strengthens the resilience and sustainability of the entire supply chain.
EcoVadis acts as the initiative’s coordination office in conjunction with ABMI, which includes a robust governance structure overseen by each member organization’s Chief Procurement Officers and members' quarterly meetings. In addition, developing specific workgroups to address particular sustainability topics allows for driving collective action.
