How to request PCFs through the network
- Navigate to any list in the ‘Network’ tab inside the EcoVadis platform.
- Select one or more companies by ticking the checkbox next to their name.
- When one or more companies have been selected, a green bar will appear at the bottom of your screen with multiple options to choose from. Click the ‘Request PCFs’ button and a request form will appear above the green bar.
- We recommend that you add a note to provide more information about your request, e.g. to specify a category or a name of the product for which you request the Product Carbon Footprint. You can also ask for a preferred reporting period or geography.
- Once you’ve included a note, click the ‘Send request’ button and your request will be sent to all fully registered companies. These suppliers will have one month to share their Product Carbon Footprints with you. If they don't do this, the request will expire.
How to request PCFs from a supplier’s scorecard
- Navigate to the scorecard of a supplier in your network.
- In the tabs below the company summary (‘Scorecard’, ‘Carbon’, ‘Corrective Action Plan’, etc.), click the ‘PCF Data Exchange’ tab.
- Click the ‘Request PCFs’ button in the bottom right corner and a request form will appear at the bottom of your screen.

How to monitor PCF requests after you’ve sent them
- Navigate to ‘Reporting’’ inside the EcoVadis platform.
- Locate the ‘PCF Data Exchange’ report and click the ‘View Report’ button, which will open the reporting dashboard in a new tab of your browser.
- The report will open in the ‘Overview’ section, where you can explore all the PCFs that have been reported by your suppliers on the EcoVadis platform.
- Click the ‘PCF Requests’ link at the top of the dashboard. Here you can view all of your requests, including who they were sent to when they were sent, any notes you included, and their status. Available statuses are:
- Accepted: Shown highlighted in green. This means the data should be available for you to view through the ‘Overview’ area of the dashboard and directly on the supplier’s scorecard under their ‘PCF Data Exchange’ tab.
- Pending: The supplier has not accepted or declined the request, and it is still active.
- Declined: Shown highlighted in red. This means the supplier has declined your request. They also have the option to give a reason for declining (e.g. they don’t have the data yet), which is shown next to the ‘Declined’ status.
- Expired: Also shown highlighted in red. This means the supplier has neither accepted nor declined the request, but a month has passed, so the request has now expired and been automatically declined.
All data from the ‘Overview’ and the ‘PCF Requests’ sections can also be downloaded as an Excel file.
