Are my answers and documents treated confidentially?
Your questionnaire and the answers you provide are considered confidential, as defined in the Terms and Conditions and will not be shared. Your trading partners can only see your assessment results and the documents you decide to share with them.
You can upload supporting documents, which are not shared by default. When uploading a supporting document, you may choose to share it with your trading partners.
EcoVadis stores your uploaded documents safely and securely, but does not guarantee the confidentiality of the documents you freely decide to share with your trading partners.
Will my assessment results be kept confidential?
Your assessment results will be kept strictly confidential and will only be shared with the trading partner who has requested your assessment, if any. Once shared with a trading partner, the trading partner will also have access to your subsequent assessment results.
Trading partners with an Enterprise subscription can browse the Directory available in their platform, view names and other basic information of companies rated by EcoVadis, and request access to their assessment results.
If another trading partner wishes to access your assessment results, a sharing request is sent by email to your company’s Assessment Administrators and the contact provided by the requesting company. You have seven (7) calendar days to decline such a sharing request. You can also immediately accept it. If you do not decline the request within seven days, your assessment results will be shared with the requesting trading partner.
What are the legal requirements applicable to my documents?
The information and documents you provide during the assessment process are subject to legal requirements. Your company must comply with applicable legislation, especially data protection laws.
EcoVadis does not provide legal consultancy or advice regarding compliance with laws or regulations. You are responsible for ensuring that the data and documents you provide are correct, complete, accurate, updated, and trustworthy. Furthermore, you must also comply with the contractual obligations outlined in the Terms and Conditions.
