There are four main types of actions expected from the requesting company and typically from the contact managing the account:
1. Provide mandatory information about the trading partners invited to the assessment:
- For effective onboarding, we ask you to provide the following information about the invited company: identification of the right person in charge on trading partner side, full name of the contact person in charge of the assessment, their phone number, email address and position. This information helps us engage the company into the assessment process and provide the necessary assistance at each assessment stage. A critical moment is the speedy registration of the trading partner on the EcoVadis platform.
2. Inform your trading partners about the assessment:
- It is very important that the account managers (often the buyers) inform your trading partners about your Sustainable Procurement initiative, your goals and the role of EcoVadis as your external partner performing the assessment on your behalf.
- Informing your trading partners upfront that EcoVadis will reach out to them with a request to register on our platform and start the assessment questionnaire is one of the key success factors for increasing the overall campaign response rate.
3. Be reactive and speak to your trading partners in case EcoVadis escalates issues to you. We will need your support and quick action in the following cases:
- your trading partner does not wish to participate or asks for your confirmation before participating;
- your trading partner's contact phone number or email address do not work;
- your trading partner has already missed several deadlines despite best efforts from our onboarding team. We need you to reach out directly to your trading partner.
4. Review the EcoVadis Scorecards:
- Assessment requestors should review the scorecards of their trading partners, compare the results with the overall sustainable procurement goals, define improvement areas then collaborate with the trading partner on their corrective action plans.
