EcoVadis defines deadlines for companies to complete and submit their questionnaires. The deadlines are set for steady assessment management and allow flexibility if needed.
In most cases, your trading partners can extend the deadline by themselves by up to 60 business days. Learn more about how rated companies can extend their deadlines directly on their platform. However, sometimes a rated company may reach out to you asking for a deadline extension.
How to extend the questionnaire deadline of the trading partner
If your trading partner needs more time to complete their questionnaire, you can extend their deadline directly from your platform.
-
Search for the trading partner. You can view their list of trading partners with questionnaire in progress in:
- The Network list;
- The partner’s sustainability profile on the “Activity History” tab.
- Once the trading partner is located, click Extend deadline.
-
A pop-up is displayed for you to select the new deadline.
- The selected new date is displayed with a tooltip which, upon hovers, explains the time conversion.
- Done! You can notify your trading partner that their deadline has been successfully extended.
Note: Extending the deadline in batch mode is not available.
What if extending the deadline is unavailable?
Sometimes, extending the deadline may be unavailable for you. There are a few situations where this can happen, such as:
- Your company has not invited the partner for the assessment. In other words, a requesting company cannot extend the deadline of a trading partner that has been invited by another requesting company to take the assessment;
- The questionnaire deadline has expired. If the questionnaire is not submitted within the deadline – and the partner doesn’t let us know they need an extension – it will be closed, and they will no longer be able to access it. However, if they contact us again within 6 months from the moment the questionnaire was created, our team may be able to reopen it so that the invited company can conclude the assessment;
- The trading partner deadline has already been extended by more than 60 days;
- The partner was invited as part of a request for proposal (RFP) program.
However, if you would like to adjust deadlines for some reason, please contact us. In your message, be sure to include the trading partner's legal entity name and the new deadline date you would like to set.
