Can I postpone my assessment for a major company change?
If your company is going through a major reorganization, a site relocation, or a restructuring, you may need more time to complete your EcoVadis assessment than a standard deadline extension allows. This article explains what is possible about longer postponements, and what to do if you're in this situation.
What we could confirm
A few related rules are standard and apply regardless of the reason for a delay:
- Your assessment credit is tied to your subscription. It must be used within your current subscription period — credits do not carry over to the next renewal and are forfeited if unused;
- If you need an assessment or reassessment outside your normal cycle, you can purchase an additional one;
- For self-service deadline extensions (not a multi-month postponement), you can extend your own deadline by up to 60 business days directly on the platform. See Extending the questionnaire deadline.
What to do if you need a long postponement
Contact your Account Executive or EcoVadis Customer Care and explain the situation. This is not currently a self-service action on the platform, and any decision would need to be confirmed on a case-by-case basis against your contract and subscription terms.
The maximum extension allowed (even manually on our end) is 6 months from the questionnaire opening date, provided the deadline does not fall outside the current active subscription period. If more extension is required, we recommend closing the current questionnaire and opening another one when you are ready to work on it.
