We’ve introduced lenses on EcoVadis IQ. Lenses enable you to focus the action prioritization according to specific requirements or compliance cases. Currently, 3 lenses are available – Default, and LkSG (German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act) and MS (modern slavery regulations).
- Your selected lens will focus the action priority calculation throughout the IQ platform for your EcoVadis user ID only;
- This means each user in your company can choose their own lens based on their need (Default or LkSG);
Each time you log in the EcoVadis IQ platform, the lens is automatically set to the default lens. To change your lens, go to the Partners list or partner’s risk profile, and click the “Default/LkSG/MS lens” dropdown to select:
On the Partners page, you can select lenses from the dropdown menu.
Default lens
Action priority for the default lens takes into account all sustainability themes. It’s calculated based on the partner’s overall risk – which combines sustainability risk as well as procurement risk and Scan risk, if available. If the partner has shared a valid scorecard, overall risk is based on their EcoVadis Rating.
LkSG lens
Action priority for the LkSG lens is based on the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) requirements to focus on Environment (ENV) and Labor & Human Rights (LAB) risk factors.
The action priority is calculated in 2 steps. The first step takes into consideration the partner’s ENV and LAB risk levels as these are the risk areas the law focuses on. In the second step, the result is adjusted by the partner’s procurement risk which reflects your business relationship with this partner.
If your company hasn’t provided the procurement information for this partner, action priority will be calculated only using ENV and LAB risk factors. See how you can provide the procurement information to get more accurate action priority.
Calculation step 1:
Calculation step 2:
From the results in step 1, to reflect your company’s business relationship with this partner, the action priority is adjusted as follows:
- Priority level is raised if the procurement risk is high or very high;
- Priority level is not changed if the procurement risk is medium high or medium low;
- Priority level is reduced if the procurement risk is low or very low.
If no procurement information is available, priority level is not changed.
MS lens
Action priority for the MS (modern slavery) lens is based on the anti-modern slavery regulations introduced in countries such as the UK, Australia or Canada. Its focus is on the following EcoVadis criteria:
- Child Labor, Forced Labor & Human Trafficking (Labor & Human Rights theme);
- Supplier Social Practices (Sustainable Procurement theme).
The action priority is calculated in 2 steps:
The first step is the calculation of the MS risk, which takes into consideration the partner’s country and industry risk levels for Child Labor, Forced Labor & Human Trafficking and Supplier Social Practices criteria, as these are the risk areas the modern slavery regulations typically focus on.
If procurement information is available, the MS risk contributes 70% of the MS action priority calculation.
In the second step, the result is adjusted by the partner’s procurement risk which reflects your business relationship with this partner. If available, the procurement risk contributes 30% of the MS action priority calculation.If your company hasn’t provided the procurement information for a given partner, action priority will be calculated based only on the criteria relevant to the MS lens listed above. See how you can provide the procurement information to get a more accurate action priority.
