The AI Assistant is available as a beta feature. Rated companies are not included in the beta. For companies that have both Rated and Requesting accounts, the AI Assistant will only be available for the Requesting accounts.
What is an AI Assistant?
The AI Assistant is a generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) chat capability available on the Ratings platform. It has been designed to focus on scorecard analysis and supply chain benchmarks, enabling comparisons between different suppliers and identifying actions requiring attention.
Note: The AI Assistant does not analyze report data or provide an overview of reports.
How does the AI Assistant handle data?
The AI Assistant is designed to provide online information about your supply chain, using data from suppliers and their scorecards to generate responses. We prioritize data privacy and do not share input prompts or generated responses with third parties. To ensure safety, the AI Assistant follows principles of trustworthy AI. EcoVadis designs, implements, and deploys AI solutions responsibly, emphasizing model explainability, monitoring, and adherence to key principles of trustworthy AI. With the rise of generative AI, we invest in AI safety and governance, ensuring that generative AI solutions have appropriate guardrails in place.
User input and feedback are analyzed to enhance its functionality, with user IDs anonymized. We recommend not entering personal data during conversations with the AI Assistant.
The AI Assistant retains the history of questions and responses during a session, which is defined as the period between logging in and logging out of the platform.
Where can I find the AI Assistant in the interface?
The AI Assistant can be accessed at various entry points on the Ratings platform, including:
- Dashboard
- All Partners
- Scorecard
- Metrics
- CAP
When you open the AI Assistant chat for the first time, you will see contextual prompts at the top of the chat based on the page you are on.
How to ask a question to the AI Assistant
When asking a question or making a query, it is important to be as clear and specific as possible. Omitting key details may cause the system to make inaccurate inferences, as it relies on explicit information rather than implicit context. To ensure the most accurate response, always include all relevant details in your query.
Examples:
- Implicit Query: "What is the score of this company?"
Clear Query: "What is the overall score on [Company Name]’s scorecard?" - Implicit Query: "Show me the list of suppliers who have reassessment soon (within 3 months)."
Clear Query: "Show me the list of suppliers who have reassessments before December 2024."
What questions can I ask the AI Assistant?
The AI Assistant can respond to questions on the following topics. Please note that including the supplier's company name is necessary for the assistant to process questions related to specific suppliers accurately.
1. In-depth analysis of a supplier's scorecard:*
Examples:
- "Give me a short summary of [Supplier Name]’s scorecard (e.g., Company ABC)."
- "Explain how [Supplier Name] (e.g., Company ABC) has improved over the years in the Environment theme. What specific improvements have been made?"
2. Next steps for suppliers and tracking improvements:
Examples:
- "Show me the 10 most relevant high-priority improvements for [Supplier Name]’s scorecard (e.g., Company ABC)."
- "Provide guidance on how [Supplier Name]should improve on GHG emissions."
3. Questions involving multiple suppliers and benchmarking:
Examples:
- "Show me the list of suppliers with reassessments due before [Date], including the reassessment dates."
- "How many suppliers report at least one GHG emission metric?"
What functionalities does the chat provide?
Within the chat, you can:
- Copy Answers: Easily paste responses elsewhere as needed.
- Regenerate Answers: If unsatisfied with an answer, you can generate a different response.
Supported Languages
The AI Assistant supports English, German, French, and Spanish for both questions and responses.
What to do if the AI Assistant can’t answer your question
If the assistant cannot provide an answer, consider these steps:
Verify if the topic is covered in the "What questions can I ask the AI Assistant?" section. If it is not listed, please submit a feedback form to indicate its importance. This section provides examples of the types of inquiries users can make, such as:
- Deep dive into a single supplier’s scorecard content
- Next steps for suppliers and tracking their improvements
- Benchmarking and comparisons involving multiple suppliers
2. If the topic is covered, try reformulating the question as follows:
- Include the supplier's name whenever applicable (e.g., "Give the summary of the scorecard for XYZ company").
- For supply chain-related queries, specify the context (e.g., "Provide an overview of my supply chain in the Environment category").
- Add specific details when possible (e.g., "List partners requiring attention this week, with reasons").
What to do if you encounter an error
If the chat displays an error, click "Try again" or reload the browser tab. The chat history will remain available for the duration of the session.
