In the world of sustainability reporting, completing a thorough sustainability and carbon assessment once, and sharing the results with multiple companies, can be a huge time saver. It enables a single assessment to meet the often demanding requirements of various trading partners, who may represent significant value to multiple stakeholders within your company. With EcoVadis, the Premium, Corporate, and Select subscription plans allow you to share your scorecard with unlimited trading partners - within and outside the EcoVadis Network. Carbon Rating and Basic subscribers can upgrade to a Premium, Corporate, or Select subscription to share their scorecard with partners outside the EcoVadis Network.
Learn how to use your EcoVadis Ratings platform to:
- Accept requests to share your scorecard from trading partners;
- Proactively share your scorecard with trading partners;
- Check what companies you share your scorecard with.
Accepting sharing requests from trading partners
- How do I know a trading partner wishes to access my scorecard?
All requests from trading partners to share your scorecard are visible on your EcoVadis Ratings platform. Additionally, a sharing request is sent by email to your company’s Assessment Administrators and the contact provided by the requesting company.
The notification about a new sharing request is displayed on your Dashboard.
Additionally, you can check all requests in Sharing Activity in your main menu.
- How do I accept or decline the sharing request?
You will receive a sharing request email with a link to your EcoVadis Ratings platform. There, you can find all new requests in Network at the top of the Sharing Activity list.
The request will be automatically accepted unless you specifically decline it. You have seven (7) calendar days to decline such a sharing request. Custom questions from the trading partner might be associated with their sharing request. Learn more about custom questions.
- Can I stop sharing my scorecard?
After accepting the sharing request, you have thirty (30) days to revoke the sharing if needed. To do so, please contact us.
- Do I share my scorecard with all sector initiative members?
Suppose the requesting trading partner is a member of a sector initiative. In that case, you can “Manage request” and see which other members of this initiative will have access to your performance upon accepting. Each sector initiative establishes its own sharing rules (all-or-none or selective). Learn more about sector initiatives.
- What can my partners see when a sharing request is accepted?
Once a sharing request is accepted, your trading partner gains access to your full sustainability profile, which includes the following:
- Sustainability Scorecard;
- Strengths and Improvement Areas;
- 360° Watch Findings;
- Specific Comments;
- Carbon Scorecard (if available. More details: How can I get a carbon scorecard?);
- Corrective Action Plan (supporting documents uploaded into the Corrective Action Plan tab will also be visible to your trading partners);
- Live News (for Premium, Corporate and Select subscribers; not available for Carbon Rating and Basic subscribers);
- CSR Activities (not available for Carbon Rating subscribers) ;
- Metrics (more details: How to share my company’s metrics?);
- Documents (when you upload a new document, you can choose whether to share it or not with your Network);
- Audits (not available for Carbon Rating subscribers).
Proactively sharing with trading partners.
You can proactively share your company’s scorecards with a trading partner without waiting for an invitation. If you have a sustainability and carbon scorecard, both of them will be shared at the same time. There are several ways to do it directly through the EcoVadis Ratings platform:
- Send an invitation to specific email addresses (available to Premium, Corporate and Select subscribers, not available to Carbon Rating and Basic subscribers);
- Take advantage of the EcoVadis Network search without specifying the email address. This allows you to establish connections even if you do not have the contact information of a specific person at a given company (available to all subscription levels).
How to share your scorecard by email?
- Go to the Scorecard tab on the My Performance page.
- Click the “Share my scorecard” button in the top-right corner of the scorecard. The button is also available on your Dashboard.
-
Click “Enter an email address.” In the invitation popup, select the invitation language and add an optional message. Once you click “Share my scorecard,” an invitation is sent to all the provided addresses, containing a secure link to view your scorecard on the platform.
Note: Sharing by email not available to Carbon Rating and Basic subscribers.
How to send an invitation without contact details (using EcoVadis search)?
- Go to the Scorecard tab on the My Performance page.
- Click the “Share my scorecard” button in the top-right corner of the scorecard. The button is also available on your Dashboard.
- Type the company name or its DUNS number in the search bar and click “Search.” Tip: Select country, industry or size for more relevant results.
- Click “Share my scorecard” next to the selected company's name. Your scorecard will be shared with all EcoVadis platform users at this company. This company may later ask you to share your complete sustainability and/or carbon profile, such as documents, corrective action plan, metrics etc. Check "What can my partners see when a sharing request is accepted?" above to learn what your sustainability profile includes.
If your company has a Premium, Corporate or Select subscription, you can download a PDF of the scorecard and share it outside the platform. This is not available to Carbon Rating and Basic subscribers.
Checking your sharing activity
You can check which companies have access to your scorecard on the Sharing Activity page in Network. It contains 3 tabs:
- New Requests: here, you can see all the companies who are requesting your carbon scorecard and/or metrics.
- Connections: here, you can see all companies with access to your complete sustainability and carbon profile, such as corrective action plan, metrics, etc.
-
Shared scorecard: here, you can see all companies with whom you proactively shared your scorecard. These companies have access to your scorecard only and may later invite you to share your full sustainability and carbon profile.
