In some questions, we will ask you to attach documents to evidence your answers. Attaching documents is optional, but can significantly improve your EcoVadis Vitals result.
The attached documents will only be visible to business partners with whom you decide to share your Vitals result.
We will review your documents after you submit the questionnaire.

List of requested documents
We will ask you for the following documents:
- Environmental policy
- Environmental certificates (ISO 14001 or EMAS)
- Labor and human rights policy or code of conduct
- Employee health and safety policy
- Labor and human rights certificates (ISO 45001 or SA8000)
- Code of ethics

General document guidelines
Follow these rules to make sure your documents are successfully reviewed:
- The best file formats are: PDF, PNG, JPG, and JPEG.
- Files must be less than 30 MB.
- Attach the most recently issued documents.
- Indicate the relevant page range if the document covers topics other than the question.
Guidelines for policies
When attaching policies, we also recommend that you:
- Include your company name in the body text (name in pictures or logos may not be recognized).
- Ensure the document title corresponds to the document type requested in the question.
- Attach documents in English. However, we will still accept documents in other languages.
- Indicate the publication date in the document (policies older than 8 years will be considered expired).
Managing Document Library
In the Document Library in your EcoVadis Vitals questionnaire, you can upload, view, and remove all documents. You can also easily edit document details such as title, language, and type. Additionally, you can check how many answers the given document is attached to.
